The review rating scale

1 - The worst - You're spitting this one out and warning your friends about it. You wonder if this was made out of spite for humankind. Worst cocktail you've ever had.
2 - Very bad - There's something extremely off-putting about it and you're not even interested in trying to make it better. Lost cause.
3 - Bad - Just palatable enough to swallow, but you're not making this one again, nor trying to improve it yourself. Basically, this is a '2' but you can down it.
4 - Below average - You simply do not like it. It's not terrible, but not at all to your liking. Can you improve upon it? Probably, but still not interested.
5 - Average - This is the baseline rating. It's not bad, but there's nothing particularly interesting about it. This is the lowest rating where you think "I could definitely make a better version of this."
6 - Good - Not bad! You're pleased with it. But again, it's missing something. Maybe switching up some ingredients will make it better. And you're committed to doing the legwork to make that happen.
7 - Very good - You're impressed. This was enjoyable and you're looking forward to mixing this one up from time to time.
8 - Great - You're impressed to the point where you want to make this cocktail part of your regular lineup and mention it to your cocktail-loving friends.
9 - Fantastic - This one is definitely a go-to. You insist on making it a staple for your home bar. It might even be your 'signature cocktail.' Like "John's known for making a mean Moscow Mule."
10 - Exceptional - Few of these exist. These are a complete revelation. You didn't know a cocktail could be so perfect. Challenges what you believed you knew about cocktail ingredients, flavors and experience.

Rocks Glass

Ingredients

2 oz. Tequila
1/2 oz. Orange liqueur
1 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Agave Syrup

Barware

Shaker Tin
Jigger
Hawthorne Strainer
Rocks Glass

Method

Add the tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave syrup into a shaker tin.
Add ice and shake until well chilled.
Rim the rocks glass with kosher salt (optional).
Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
